Andy Sutcliffe's list has country wide details of events so I am not going to duplicate them all here. The events here are in the main what I term "Local" i.e North of England. • Friday, 3rd - Monday, 5th May. May Day Steam, hosted by Urmston & District Society. Traction Engine & Vintage Event, together with Urmston track operating the usual major passenger hauling weekend. 3 1/2 & 5" gauge track open to all locos and visitors. Visitors welcome to participate in passenger hauling duties. Boiler certificates & insurance details required.
• 9/10/11th May: Harrogate Model Engineering Exhibition.

June

• Saturday, 14th / Sunday 15th June. NAME Narrow Gauge IMLEC, hosted by Rochdale Society. A repeat of the very successful event of 2003.
• Sunday 29th June: Leylamd SME; Seven and a Quarter Gauge Society members invite day.

July

• Saturday, 5th / Sunday 6th July. IMLEC, hosted by Southport Club.

August

• Saturday, 9th / Sunday 10th August. Diesel Traction Weekend, hosted by Rochdale Society. The third consecutive annual event organised by Matthew Hainsworth.
• Sunday 10th August: Leyland SME's annual Scale Day. Buffet Lunch.

September

• Saturday, 13th / Sunday, 14th September. 60th Anniversary Open Weekend, hosted by Urmston & District Society. 3 1/2 & 5" gauge track open to all locos and visitors. Visitors welcome to participate in passenger hauling duties. Boiler certificates & insurance details required.

October

• Sunday 12th of October: LeylandSME Diesel Day and buffet lunch.
